1977 Standard Chartered Bank $500 (EF-AU Condition) Z/P 494480

This series of Standard Chartered Bank $500 banknotes was issued from 1962 to 1977. Notes issued between 1962 and 1976 do not feature a printed year; only the 1977 issue includes the date. Because the undated versions are rarer, they are generally valued at about double the price of the 1977 dated issue.

The banknote offered here has no center holes, and the cross folds are faint and inconspicuous. There is a red ink mark on the back, but the note is overall clean with no yellowing. It is graded in EF-AU condition.

- Dimensions: 190 × 120 mm
- Nickname: Due to the frame-like watermark pattern on the right side of the obverse, this note is commonly referred to as the "Mirror Frame."
