2021, French alloy Olympic commemorative medal, original packaging, limited to fifty thousand pieces.

This commemorative medal is sold exclusively in France! With the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics, the year 2021 officially marks the beginning of the countdown to the Paris Olympics. Symbolized by the handover of the Olympic flag during the closing ceremony, this torch sets the starting point of a new era in French sports.

2021 also marks the first year of a four-year cycle where sports and their values will be honored through the Paris currency and medal series. This medal highlights the emblem of the Paris Olympics. It is the first time that the Olympics and Paralympics share the same symbol. The symbol itself comprises three strong elements: the gold medal representing the achievement of surpassing oneself, the flame symbolizing the energy of sharing, and of course, Marianne, the symbol of the Republic and France.

The Olympic version is limited to 50,000 sets, while the Paralympic version is limited to 15,000 sets, with this specific medal being the 3369th piece.

This commemorative medal has no face value, is made of cupronickel alloy, weighs 17.7 grams, measures 34.000 mm, with a total draw of 50,000 pieces, minted in 2021 by the Paris Mint.
