Description
Five US Half Dollars (40% Silver): One 1965, Two 1967, and Two 1968

This US variety of half dollar silver coins was issued from 1965 to 1970, with a total of 12 different years and mint varieties.
There are no distinct mint varieties for 1965 and 1967. For 1968, there are "S" and "D" mint marks; the "S" version consists of proof strikes, while the "D" version is what is commonly encountered. The ones offered for sale this time are the 1968-D version. The obverse features a left-facing portrait of John F. Kennedy, and the reverse is inscribed with "IN GOD WE TRUST". The composition is a clad alloy containing 40% silver, with a weight of 11.5 grams, a diameter of 30.61 mm, and a thickness of approximately 2.15 mm. Added together, the five coins have a total weight of 1.848 ounces, which contains approximately 0.74 troy ounces of actual silver content.

The five silver coins are in poor condition with some staining and show signs of circulation.
