2026 China Year of the Horse Lunar New Year Commemorative Coins Set of 20 (Original Packaging) (Second Series)

This set of Chinese Year of the Horse Lunar New Year Commemorative Coins was issued in 2026, with a face value of ten yuan and made of alloy. The obverse side features the national emblem and auspicious patterns, while the reverse side showcases various horse designs with the inscription "丙午", mainly in the style of paper-cut horses.

In 2003, China issued the first Year of the Sheep commemorative coin. The second series of Year of the Sheep commemorative coins began in 2015. The mintage for the Year of the Sheep coin in 2015 was only 80 million, while in 2016 and 2017, 500 million were issued. The mintage decreased to 350 million in 2018, 250 million for the Year of the Pig in 2019, and Year of the Rat in 2020. The Year of the Ox coin in 2021 had a mintage of 150 million, while the Year of the Tiger in 2022, Year of the Rabbit in 2023, and Year of the Dragon in 2024 each had a mintage of 120 million. The Year of the Snake in 2025 and the Year of the Horse in 2026 both had a mintage of 100 million. Based on mintage numbers, the most valuable in the second series of zodiac coins is the Year of the Sheep, followed by the Snake and Horse.
