This banknote series was issued from 1985 to 1992 and consists of a total of eight different years. It is also known as the "Purple Dragon Boat" series, with the most valuable year being 1986.

The banknote sold is the 50-dollar banknote issued by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) in 1987. It bears the serial number AM973111, which is commonly referred to as the "Leopard Number" due to its three repeating digits. The banknote is in straight condition without any folds. It has been evaluated by PMG and received a high grade of 67, indicating its excellent condition, specifically Superb Gem UNC.
