1988-1991 British 20 Pounds (AU-UNC Condition) 54R 991215

This £20 banknote featuring Queen Elizabeth II was issued from 1970 to 1991 and saw several color variations during its circulation. The note being sold this time is from the period between 1988 and 1991, showcasing purple and green hues in different areas on the note. It is the final year of issuance with the signature of George Malcolm Gill (GMG), representing one of the most common styles.

The banknote being sold has a face value of £20 and dimensions of 160 x 90 mm. The obverse side features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the image of St. George slaying the dragon. On the reverse side, Shakespeare is depicted on the right while Romeo and Juliet are pictured on the left. The note has no folds, with the serial number 54R 991215, and some yellowing on the top edge, rated as AU-UNC condition.
