Republic of China 23rd Year Junk Silver Coin "Boat Dollar"

In April 1927, the National Revolutionary Army established its capital in Nanjing. The public raised funds and issued the first batch of new national currency featuring the portrait of Sun Yat-sen on the obverse side and a sailboat under the bright sun on the reverse side, commonly known as the "Boat Dollar."

In March 1949, the Central Mint of the Republic of China minted the final batch of the "Boat Dollar" silver coin featuring Sun Yat-sen's portrait from the 23rd year of the Republic of China, officially designated as the national currency.

The Sun Yat-sen Junk Silver Coin from the 23rd year of the Republic of China has a diameter of 39.4mm, weighs 26.4g, and is 2.4mm thick, with a face value of one dollar. This silver coin has slight dirt accumulation and is guaranteed to be genuine.
